Upstream and Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) partnered to deliver a truly massive mobile promotion: It featured the largest giveaway yet to be seen on a global scale: Four hundred FIAT 500 cars. A powerful TV campaign and well defined CRM tactics allowed both Upstream and TIM full control over the custom user experience, and created the right incentives for participants to play the mobile quiz game. Upstream managed to achieve a sizeable ARPU increase from TIM’s opt-in subscriber base.
